Professor Turtle

Slow and Steady Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is led by Professor Nick "Turtle Power" Manela, who began his martial arts journey at the age of four and started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009. After ten years of dedication, he earned his black belt from Ricardo Almeida in 2019.

Professor Turtle has taught students of all ages and experience levels throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania for nearly a decade. His passion is helping students build confidence, discipline, and practical self-defense skills in a safe and supportive environment. At Slow and Steady BJJ, the goal is simple: help every student become the best version of themselves on and off the mats.
